N2  - Zentrale Triebkräfte wie die Mobilitätswende, die Nachhaltigkeitswende, die Digitalisierung und eine dynamische Veränderung der Arbeitswelt führen zu einschneidenden, notwendigenTransformationsprozessen in der Automobilindustrie. Dabei stellt insbesondere der Wandel hin zur Elektromobilität die Zulieferer umformtechnischer Bauteile des Antriebsstrangs vor existenzielle Herausforderungen und erhöht den Druck, ihre Wertschöpfungsketten und Geschäftsmodelle zukunftsorientiert auszurichten, um weiterhin am Markt bestehen zu können. Genau hier setzt das Forschungsprojekt ‚TuWAs‘ an und dient dem Ziel, konkrete Entscheidungshilfen und Transformationskonzepte für ebenjenen Industriezweig zu erarbeiten und darüber hinaus wichtige Impulse für den Erhalt von Arbeitsplätzen, Know-how und Fertigungsnetzwerke in Deutschland und Europa zu geben. So wird ein signifikanter Beitrag zur erfolgreichen Transformation der betroffenen Unternehmen geleistet.
N2  - Key drivers such as the mobility transformation, the sustainability transformation, digitalization, and dynamic changes in the world of work are leading to dramatic, but inevitable transformation processes in the automotive industry. In particular, the shift toward electromobility poses existential challenges for suppliers of metal forming components for the powertrain and increases the pressure to align their value chains and business models with future trends in order to remain competitive in the market. This is precisely where the TuWAs research project comes in, which aims to develop concrete decision-making aids and transformation concepts for this branch of industry and to provide important impetus for the preservation of jobs, know-how, and manufacturing networks in Germany and Europe. Thus the project makes a significant contribution to the successful transformation of companies in the sector.
