Der Vortrag vermittelt die theoretischen Grundlagen der Künstlichen Intelligenz (KI) und deren industrielle Anwendung. Neben den historischen Meilensteinen der KI werden die strategischen Digitalisierungsziele im Maschinen- und Anlagenbau sowie die Abgrenzung zwischen Künstlicher Intelligenz und Maschinellem Lernen (ML) behandelt. Darüber hinaus wird die Funktionsweise neuronaler Netzwerke erläutert und ihre Bedeutung für moderne KI-Anwendungen aufgezeigt.
Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt liegt auf den Herausforderungen bei der Nutzung datenbasierter Anwendungen sowie Strategien zur effizienten Organisation und Integration dieser Anwendungen in industrielle Prozesse. Die Teilnehmenden erhalten sowohl theoretische als auch praxisnahe Einblicke in aktuelle Entwicklungen der KI und deren praktische Umsetzung in der Industrie.
This course provides an introduction to the fundamental principles of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its industrial applications. It covers the historical milestones of AI, the strategic digitalization goals in mechanical and plant engineering, and the distinction between Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (ML). Additionally, the functioning of neural networks is explained, highlighting their significance in modern AI applications.
Another key focus is on the challenges in the use of data-based applications and strategies for the efficient organization and integration of these applications into industrial processes. Participants will gain both theoretical insights and practical perspectives on the latest developments in AI and its implementation in industry.

Zudem wird die Funktionsweise neuronaler Netzwerke erläutert und deren Bedeutung für moderne KI-Anwendungen aufgezeigt.
Im zweiten Teil liegt der Fokus auf Large Language Models (LLMs), deren Funktionsweise und der gezielten Anwendung durch einen Prompt-Engineering-Workshop.
